Two people were taken to hospital following a three-vehicle road traffic collision which occurred on Friday evening, on Craig's Road Rasharkin.
Police received a report of the collision just after 5:00pm yesterday and attended the scene alongside colleagues from Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service (NIFRS), and Northern Ireland Ambulance Service (NIAS).
It is reported that two of the three vehicles careered into a field.
NIFRS despatched two Fire Appliances from Ballymena and one Appliance from Kilrea to the scene of the collision. Crews used cutting gear and manual handling to rescue one female who
was trapped in a vehicle.
Five people were treated at the scene of the incident, with two people taken to hospital for treatment to injuries which, at this time, are not thought to be serious.
Police have appealed for anyone who may have witnessed the collision is asked to contact police on 101, quoting reference number 1256 of 12/01/24.
