Two men released on bail after serious assault in Cushendall

Police are continuing to appeal for information following a serious assault in Cushendall in the early hours of Monday, 11th August.
The incident was reported to have happened at around 12.30am in the Stoney Lonan Lane area of the village, when two young men were attacked by three men who got out of a silver saloon car.
Commenting on Monday (August 11), Sergeant Moody said:
“One man aged in his early twenties sustained serious injuries to his leg alongside face and head injuries. A man aged in his late teens is, thankfully, not thought to be seriously injured at this time.”
Two men, aged 28 and 22, were arrested shortly after the incident on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent. Police have now confirmed today, Tuesday 12 August, they have been released on bail to allow for further enquiries to be carried out.
Officers are urging anyone who was in the area at the time of the assault to come forward, particularly those who may have CCTV, dash-cam footage, or other video evidence that could help with their investigation.
