Get ready for a family-fun filled day out at Glenarm Castle Estate this May Bank Holiday Weekend, as the annual Tulip Festival returns from Saturday 4th – Monday 6th May.

Renowned as the most colourful event of the year, the Tulip Festival is a must-visit for garden enthusiasts and families alike.

Recently awarded Historic Houses 2023 Garden of the Year, The Walled Garden will showcase stunning displays of Spring Flowers & Tulips.

Expert gardeners will be on hand throughout the festival to answer all your gardening questions, whilst representatives from Bloms Bulbs, sponsors of the events, will be available to discuss your garden bulb needs for the season.

For families, prepare to be entertained by stage performances across the weekend. Enjoy live music by acts from Total Talent each day. On Sunday 5th and Monday 6th, put on your best dancing shoes as Donking teaches you his latest steps and dance routines.

Most importantly, get ready to meet the world’s most famous outlaw and his band of merry men in action-packed live performances of Robin Hood. With toe-tapping tunes, audience interaction and plenty of laughter, this is a show not to be missed!

Adrian Morrow, Estates Manager at Glenarm Castle, said:

“We can’t wait for the return of our beloved Tulip Festival. This event officially kicks off the start of our season here and what a better way than with magnificent displays of tulips and spring flowers in our Walled Garden, which was recently crowned the 2023 Historic Houses Garden of the Year.

“Following the popularity of our live shows over the last few years, we are thrilled to be bringing an outdoor performance of Robin Hood to the festival on Sunday 5th and Monday 6th. It really is a great day out for all the family, with lots to see and do for visitors, all while enjoying the beautiful outdoor spaces here on our historic estate.”

Community artisan market, Naturally North Coast and Glens, will also be back at this year’s festival with a wonderful range of unique craft stalls and exhibitions.

The hugely popular Mini Land Rover Experience will be operating throughout the weekend alongside traditional carnival rides and children crafts activities hosted by the Integrated Education Fund.

Delicious food and drink options, including Ground at The Tearooms, The Pizza Pavilion, The Milk Parlour and The Potting Shed, will be available, alongside other food-to-go alternatives. And don’t forget to join in on the scavenger hunt for Robin Hood’s merry men hidden around the estate for a chance to win a special prize!

Glenarm Castle Estate are thrilled to extend a warm welcome to four-legged friends this year, following our recent announcement that the Walled Garden and Woodland Walk are dog-friendly. To ensure the enjoyment of all visitors, it is kindly asked that dogs be kept on a short lead at all times and their owners respectfully uphold the beauty of the area and are considerate of other visitors.
