TRAGIC NEWS | Father and two children die after car enters water in Donegal

A father and his two children, aged 6 and 14, have lost their lives after the car they were travelling in skidded off the road, plunging into water in County Donegal.

The mother managed to escape from the car and raised the alarm.

The crash happened at about 10:20pm on Thursday night.

Fire service from Londonderry and Donegal, HM Coastguard Rescue Helicopter R199 from Prestwick in Scotland, and Garda attended the scene of the tragic accident on the road between Muff and Quigleys Point.
