SUMMER FOOD AND DRINK RECOMMENDATIONS…

The evenings are lighter, and it's (supposed!) to be warm this Summer, the barbeques will be dragged out of the shed, the picnic baskets brought out of the cupboard, and we have the perfect reads to help you think of new ideas for that barbeque or picnic.

The Curry Guy BBQ - Dan Toombs

ree

This recipe book provides a unique twist on barbeque recipes. Toombs includes a large variety of recipes, from flattened beef kebabs to chargrilled stuffed chillies, there really is something for everyone.

Max's Picnic Book - Max Halley and Ben Benton

ree

This book is filled with recipes for all types of picnics, from elaborate spreads to the more simple.

Fevertree: Easy Mixing

ree

This Cocktail Recipe Book from the ever popular Fevertree is filled with over 150 recipes for tasty mixed drinks and cocktails, including low and no alcoholic drinks.

STAFF RECOMMENDATION…

The Partisan - Patrick Worrall

ree

We are so excited about this new read from Patrick Worrall. It's a hugely satisfying thriller that takes place during the tense Cold War summer of 1961, when two young prodigies from either side of the Iron Curtain meet at a Chess Tournament in London. They don't know it yet, but they are about to compete in the deadliest game ever played...

SATURDAY STORYTIME…

Our next Saturday Story time will take place on the 25 June at 12pm.

ree

We will be reading How to Spot a Dinosaur by Suzy Senior and Dan Taylor. This is a fun read in which some little dinosaur fans try to find some dinosaurs in their local park. Everyone is most welcome to our Story time and there will be some colouring-in afterwards.
