THIS WEEK’S RECOMMENDATION…

Our recommendation for this week are the Heartstopper novels by Alice Oseman.

Now the basis of a hit Netflix show, Oseman's pioneering queer graphic novel series has become a modern classic of YA literature and this first volume introduces the beautifully realised couple of Nick and Charlie and their journey towards love and self-discovery.

WORLD BOOK NIGHT…

World Book Night is on Saturday 23rd April - UNESCO International Day of the Book, and is believed to be most likely Shakespeare's birth and death date.

World Book Night exists simply to encourage adults to read more. We have short books in store – Quick Reads – which are £1 each. These are perfect for less confident readers or a quick read for anyone.

SATURDAY STORYTIME…

Saturday Storytime on Saturday 30th May will be at 12 noon.

We will be reading The Woolly Bear Caterpillar by Julia Donaldson and Yuval Zommer. Everyone is welcome to come along for a story and colouring activities!
