The Raptures by Jan Carson

From Manager Victoria Murray

“The Raptures by local author Jan Carson is the compelling story of a village blighted by a mysterious disease afflicting its children and the young girl who must learn to retain her individuality amidst suffocating conformity.

“I thoroughly enjoyed this book and love reading a book which has places in it that I recognise - the book is set in Ballymena and the surrounding areas. There is humour in the book which I really enjoyed and this stops the story from getting too dark. Hannah is a great character who is believable and endearing.

“Jan has a unique writing style which I love. I would highly recommend this book and it is available to buy now in Waterstones Ballymena.”
