The Masked Singer unwraps festive character line-up for Christmas Special on ITV

The Masked Singer is set to bring festive fun to viewers this Boxing Day with a glittering Christmas Special, as four famous faces take to the stage disguised in elaborate seasonal costumes.

Airing at 7.30pm on Boxing Day on ITV1, ITVX, STV and STV Player, the one-off special promises music, mystery and seasonal spectacle as celebrities perform undercover while the judging panel attempts to decipher their true identities.

Hosted by Joel Dommett, the award-winning entertainment show returns with its familiar panel of detectives — Jonathan Ross, Maya Jama, Davina McCall and Mo Gilligan — who will once again analyse vocal performances and cryptic clues in a bid to uncover “TV’s best kept secret”.

Pantomime stars add festive flair

Adding an extra layer of Christmas magic, the special will also feature appearances from much-loved pantomime icons, including Fairy Godmother (Su Pollard), the dame (Christopher Biggins), Wicked Stepmother (Lesley Joseph) and Prince Charming (Basil Brush).

The colourful cast will be “spreading Christmas Cheer with clues for the panel… but will these extra presents help our panel decipher who’s hiding behind the mask?”

This year’s festive characters revealed

Viewers can now get their first glimpse of the four festive characters set to compete for the coveted Christmas crown:

• Mistletoe

“Pucker up…it’s Mistletoe!”

• Goose A-Laying

“They’ll send you on a wild Goose chase, it’s Goose A-Laying!”

• Figgy Pudding

“Pudding their best foot forward..its Figgy Pudding!”

• Santa’s Sack

“Their PRESENTS is requested…it’s Santa’s Sack!”

Each contestant will perform in full costume, with clues dropped throughout the show to test both the panel and viewers at home.

The Christmas Special continues The Masked Singer’s tradition as one of ITV’s most popular family entertainment shows, blending surprise celebrity reveals with festive humour, spectacle and show-stopping performances.
