Passengers across Northern Ireland are being urged to check before they travel as summer bus timetables come into effect from Tuesday, July 1, bringing changes to services during the school holiday period.

The timetable changes will affect a wide range of services operated by Translink, including Ulsterbus, Goldliner, Metro, Glider and Foyle Metro routes, as well as Park and Ride services.

The annual summer timetable adjustments coincide with schools breaking for the summer holidays and are designed to reflect seasonal travel demand across the public transport network.

Changes across multiple services

Passengers who regularly travel for work, education, shopping or leisure are being encouraged to familiarise themselves with any changes that may affect their usual journeys.

The revised timetables will apply across Northern Ireland and could impact departure times, frequencies and service patterns on some routes.

Translink has advised customers to plan ahead to avoid disruption and to ensure they have the most up-to-date travel information before setting off.

How to check your journey

Passengers can access the latest timetable information and journey planning tools through Translink’s Journey Planner app and website.

Travel information is available online at www.translink.co.uk or by contacting the Translink Contact Centre on 02890 666630.

With schools closing for the summer and many people preparing for holidays, day trips and seasonal events, travellers are being encouraged to check their services in advance to ensure a smooth journey when the new timetables take effect on July 1.
