A great range of eerie displays at The Spooky Gardens Ballymena
The much-loved Halloween attraction at Inishowen Park promises family fun while raising vital funds for a worthy cause
The Spooky Gardens in Ballymena are back for their third hauntingly popular year — bringing thrills, chills, and charity together this Halloween season.
Located at Inishowen Park, off the Cullybackey Road, the Halloween-themed garden officially opened its gates on Monday 13 October and will run every evening until Halloween night.
Organised by husband-and-wife team Kevin and Heather Irwin, along with their granddaughter Cara, the attraction has become a highlight of the local autumn calendar, drawing families from near and far to experience the spine-chilling spectacle.

Kevin and Heather Irwin, along with granddaughter Cara managed to raise a fantastic £809 for the charity in 2024 with community support for The Spooky Gardens Ballymena
All proceeds from the Spooky Gardens Ballymena go directly to The Children’s Cancer Unit Charity, with 100% of donations supporting the organisation’s vital work with young patients and their families.
Last year, the Irwin family were delighted to present a cheque for £809 to the charity — a result of generous community donations from visitors to the 2024 event.
“We would greatly appreciate your support,” said Kevin and Heather.
“We hope you are enjoying our display this year, and remember 100% of your donations goes straight to The Children’s Cancer Unit Charity.”

The event has grown in popularity since its inception, with its dazzling array of spooky decorations, atmospheric lighting, and sweet treats creating a memorable experience for all ages. Visitors are encouraged to bring cash donations to contribute to the cause while enjoying the fun and frights.
Event Details and Visitor Information
The Spooky Gardens is open Monday to Friday from 6pm to 9pm, and on weekends from 6pm to 10pm, offering ample opportunity for families to explore the eerie displays.
The organisers have ensured the event is accessible, with sweet treats available on-site to enhance the Halloween spirit.

For safety, the Irwins have reminded attendees that children must be supervised by an adult at all times. “We ask kindly that all children are supervised at all times by an adult,” the organisers added.
“Please come along and make a donation to this wonderful charity — and be sure to grab some sweets whilst doing so!”
