Santa Claws brings festive fun to Ballymena as SuperValu and Centra launch New York prize draw

Shoppers in Ballymena are set for a festive treat this Christmas as SuperValu and Centra bring their nostalgic ‘Santa Claws’ arcade experience to Fairhill Shopping Centre, offering the chance to win instant prizes — and even a dream family trip to New York.

On Thursday 18th December, the popular retail brands will host a festive community event at Fairhill Shopping Centre, placing a classic arcade claw machine at the heart of the mall and inviting shoppers to try their luck at grabbing a mystery Christmas prize.

Using joystick controls, participants will have the chance to guide the claw towards a range of festive rewards, with over 100 prizes available at each stop on the tour.

Ballymena shoppers could win gift cards, Christmas selection boxes and Frank & Honest coffee cups — with each day’s participants also entered into a grand prize draw for a family trip to New York.

The Ballymena event runs from 2pm to 5pm and promises festive entertainment for all ages, including face-painting, balloon modelling and appearances from seasonal favourites Buddy the Elf and the Grinch.

The Santa Claws arcade experience is touring five selected locations across Northern Ireland, aiming to lift festive spirits while rewarding shoppers in local communities during the busy Christmas period.

The lucky winner of the New York grand prize will be announced on Friday 19th December.
