Sad news of the passing of local businessman Neil O’Boyle


Sad news has emerged of the passing of well-known local businessman, Neil O’Boyle. Neil was one of the founding partners of JNK Component’s Ltd, based in Pennybridge, Ballymena.

The company that he helped launch on 1 September 1975, JNK Components Ltd, was created by the three partners – John Elliott (J), Neil O'Boyle (N) and Kevin McNeill (K), forming the name JNK.


The funeral arrangements for Mr O’Boyle were posted on social media on Friday afternoon (6 August) by Canning Funeral Directors.


‘It is with great regret that we have to inform you of the death of Neil O’Boyle, 14 Legegrane Road, Cargan. Neil passed away peacefully at home on 5 August. May he rest in peace.


‘Dearly beloved husband of Teresa, loving father of Caroline (Hughes), Paddy, Tessa (Henry), Moyra (Stephen) and Neal, father-in-law to Colin McIlwaine, Claire O'Boyle, Brendan Henry and Alex Stephen. Devoted grandfather to Christopher, Cathy, Katie, Charlie, Daniel, Cara, Niamh, Lucy and Mya.


‘Neil's Funeral Mass can be viewed via webcam on Sunday at 11am in St. Mary Queen of Peace Church, Glenravel.

Deeply regretted by his sorrowing wife, family and family circle. Our Lady of Lourdes pray for him.
