A Ballymena man has shared footage on social media after he was threatened by a young woman with a hatchet after being followed from Antrim by a Honda Jazz with young people in the vehicle.

Despite having dash-cam footage of the incident that occurred in the Granville Drive area of the town on 24 March, police have yet to apprehend the female involved, described as “Hatchet Girl” by the man, or the driver of the vehicle.

The young woman can be seen wearing a red vest top, (very) ripped black jeans, and a pair of Vans.

The Ballymena man was dropping off a person in the area when the shocking scene unfolded. The video footage also shows the driver of the Honda Jazz attempting to knock the man down by driving toward him.

The victim said on social media, “The Honey Monster decided it would be a good idea to pull an axe on us, then try to drive over me.”

A police spokesperson told Love Ballymena:
