RNLI Redbay tasked to Mull in early hours




Red Bay RNLI crew were launched on service at 00.41 this morning, Monday July 4, after a call for help from a vessel off the coast of Scotland.


HM Coastguard tasked the County Antrim Lifeboat, along with the Coastguard Rescue Helicopter. RNLI Lifeboat crew from Campbeltown, Scotland were also in attendance.



Five people in a ocean going rowing boat got into difficulty off Machrihanish, Mull of Kintyre.


All five crew were airlifted to safety by a Coastguard Rescue Helicopter.


RNLI Redbay Lifeboat returned to station after 2.30am.
