Rescue operation after man falls at Portbradden

A rescue operation went into action on Sunday afternoon (29 November) when it was reported that a male has fallen at Portbradden on the North Coast.
Arrangements are now in place to airlift the casualty to the RVH in Belfast by HEMS Helicopter.

A rope rescue was carried out by Cliff rescue teams from Coleraine and Ballycastle Coastguard’s teams.

The casualty was assessed by the crew of the Northern Ireland Air Ambulance on scene before transportation to hospital in Belfast.

Coast Guard Rescue Helicopter 199 from Prestwick is also standing by at the scene.
