Cross-border Enterprise train
Translink passengers are being advised of significant travel changes on the cross-border Enterprise service between Belfast and Dublin due to Irish Rail engineering works taking place from Saturday 25th to Monday 27th October.
The line will be closed between Drogheda and Dublin Connolly for three days while essential engineering works are carried out by Irish Rail.
As a result, bus substitutions will be in operation for the affected section of the route, with passengers advised to allow extra time for their journey.
During the works:
Southbound passengers will travel by train from Belfast Grand Central Station to Drogheda, then transfer to a bus service completing the journey to Dublin Connolly.
Northbound passengers will travel by bus from Dublin Connolly to Drogheda, before continuing their journey by train to Belfast.
Translink has confirmed that some timetable adjustments will also be in place for the duration of the works.
A spokesperson for Translink said:
“Passengers are advised to allow extra time for their journey, check online at www.translink.co.uk or use the Journey Planner before they travel.”
The temporary arrangements will remain in place from Saturday 25th through to Monday 27th October inclusive, and full train services are expected to resume thereafter.
Travellers are encouraged to plan ahead and check the latest information before setting off to avoid disruption.
