RAFFLE | Leicester City’s Brendan Rodgers kicks off Castle Tower’s fundraising with signed shirt

Leicester City’s Brendan Rodgers has got fundraising off to a flying start for Ballymena’s Castle Tower School with a donation of a signed shirt from the Premier League football club to be used as a raffle prize.

Club Manager Brendan Rodgers

The local school discovered at the beginning of October that they were chosen to be in the final of the Cash for Kids School Challenge, sponsored by Downtown Radio and Cool FM.

Finalists in the competition compete to see which school can raise the highest amount of money, with winning school receiving £3,000 on top of monies raised. Castle Tower are hoping and aiming to raise at least £10,000.

In a letter received with the shirt, Leicester City Club Manager Brendan Rodgers, wished the school ‘all the best’ with their fundraising and competition.

With only days left until the fundraising ends and monies are counted, the Castle Tower team of staff, pupils and parents are in a final push in an effort to secure the £3,000 prize.

The school is hoping that the money can be used to adapt their outdoor facilities for the children and help pay for the installation of a much-needed disability swing that will benefit a lot of the pupils.

Raffle tickets are £5 each. If you would like to take part in the competition and be in with a chance of winning the signed shirt, simply do the following:
