Belfast International Airport has announced a new partnership with Pret A Manger, with the popular food and coffee chain set to open a shop in the Departures concourse in the coming weeks.

The opening will create 40 new jobs and forms part of the airport’s wider transformation programme to upgrade facilities and improve passenger experience.

The addition of Pret will diversify the food and beverage offering at Northern Ireland’s busiest airport, which is part of the VINCI Airports network. It follows recent investments including a state-of-the-art security hall, walk-through duty-free experience, expanded arrivals hall and an upgraded forecourt.

This new location will be Pret’s third shop in Northern Ireland and the 11th across the island of Ireland, overseen by franchise partner Carebrook Partnership Ltd. Travel hub openings form a central part of Pret’s growth strategy, making Belfast International a key milestone.

Dan Owens, Chief Executive of Belfast International Airport, said:

“We are thrilled to welcome Pret A Manger to Belfast International Airport. This new store is a direct response to our passengers’ evolving preferences and a testament to our ongoing commitment to enhancing their journey.”

Gerard Loughran, Chief Executive at Carebrook Partnership Ltd, added:

“This new opening at Belfast International Airport is an exciting new milestone for us as we continue to grow the Pret brand in Northern Ireland.

“We’re delighted to be opening in Northern Ireland’s principal airport, the second largest gateway on the Island of Ireland, and to be able to offer travellers our freshly made food and organic coffee before they set off on their travels.”

Travellers will soon be able to enjoy Pret favourites such as the Chicken Caesar & Bacon Baguette and All-Butter Croissant, alongside items unique to airport shops, including the new Hot Baguettes range.

The menu will feature sandwiches, salads, hot food, snacks, baked goods and Pret’s signature barista-prepared organic coffees, teas, and iced drinks.

With more than 700 shops worldwide and 12,500 team members across 21 international markets, Pret continues to expand its presence in travel hubs, bringing its freshly made food and organic coffee to more customers on the go.
