Murder victim: 49-year-old Rolandas Kvederis
A man who died following a late-night altercation in Portadown has been named by police as 49-year-old Rolandas Kvederis, as detectives continue a murder investigation into his death.
Emergency services were called to a property in the Ranfurley Road area shortly after 11pm on Thursday 26 March, where Mr Kvederis was found injured. Despite the efforts of paramedics, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Police Service of Northern Ireland has confirmed that two men remain in custody in connection with the incident.
Two men still in custody
Detective Chief Inspector Bradley, from the PSNI’s Major Investigation Team, outlined the circumstances surrounding the incident.
He said:
“Shortly after 11pm, we received a report of an altercation at a property in the Ranfurley Road area.
“Officers attended, along with colleagues from the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service. Sadly, Mr Kvederis was pronounced dead at the scene.
“Two men aged in their 50s were arrested on suspicion of murder and remain in police custody at this time.
“We are appealing to anyone who believes they may have information, or to anyone with CCTV, doorbell or other footage that could assist with our investigation to contact detectives on 101 quoting reference number 1809 26/03/26.”
