Drodzy Rodacy, Drodzy Sąsiedzi, Drodzy Ludzie Dobrej Woli,

Ten weekend przyniósł nam wiadomość, której nikt z nas nie chciał usłyszeć. Młoda dziewczyna – dziecko – została brutalnie skrzywdzona. Ta tragedia wydarzyła się tutaj, w naszej społeczności, wśród nas. Nie możemy pozostać w milczeniu.

To nie pierwszy raz. Ale musi być ostatni.

Nie jesteśmy tylko świadkami tej krzywdy. Jesteśmy rodzicami. Jesteśmy sąsiadami. Jesteśmy ludźmi. I jako wspólnota Polonii w Irlandii Północnej, mamy moralny obowiązek nie tylko współczuć, ale działać.

Bo solidarność to nie hasło. To nasz wybór. To nasza odpowiedzialność.

Nasze córki, nasze siostry, nasze żony – wszystkie kobiety – zasługują na świat, w którym mogą iść ulicą bez lęku. Ale to nasze dzieci – wszystkie dzieci – muszą być przede wszystkim bezpieczne. Zawsze. Wszędzie.

Nie możemy pozwolić, by strach był codziennością naszych dzieci. Nie możemy czekać na kolejną tragedię.

Dlatego w poniedziałek, 9 czerwca, o godz. 19:30 na parkingu Ken’s, spotkamy się w milczeniu i jedności – by pokazać, że NIE MA na to zgody. Nie na przemoc. Nie na obojętność.

Nie jesteśmy bezsilni. Gdy stoimy razem – jesteśmy siłą.

Razem dla sprawiedliwości. Razem w solidarności. Razem dla naszych dzieci.

A message from the Polish community in Ballymena

Dear friends, dear neighbours, dear people of good will,

This past weekend, our local community in Northern Ireland was shaken by heartbreaking news — a young girl has become the victim of a horrific assault. This is not the first time something like this has happened.

But it must be the last.

We, as members of the Polish community living here, have a duty to stand shoulder to shoulder with our neighbours in these difficult times. Solidarity is not just a word — it is an action. Our daughters, our sisters, our wives — all women — deserve to feel safe. But most of all, we must protect our children.

Every child has the right to a safe home, a safe school, and safe streets. When one young person is hurt, all our children are at risk. And we cannot — we will not — let fear govern the lives of the innocent.

That is why on Monday, 9th June at 7:30pm, in Ken’s car park, we will gather for a peaceful protest against violence. Please join us. Let’s show true solidarity — across communities, across languages. Let’s show that as parents, as neighbours, as human beings, we will not tolerate violence against children.

We are not powerless. When we stand together, we are strong.

Together for justice. Together in solidarity. Together to protect our children.
