Detectives are appealing for information, and encouraging members of the public to be vigilant, following reports of burglaries in the Slaght Road and Woodcroft Hill areas of Ballymena.
Three burglaries were reported on the morning of Thursday 27 August and are believed to have taken place at some stage the previous night.
Two of the incidents took place on the Slaght Road area of the town. One report relates to a garage being broken into and, during the second incident, a conservatory window was opened.
The burglary at a house in the Woodcroft Hill area was reported just after4am. Here, the report was of a male intruder inside the house.
At this stage, it’s not clear what, if anything, has been taken.
Detectives in Ballymena are appealing to anyone with information, or who noticed any suspicious activity in either area, to get in touch on 101 quoting reference number 209 of 27/08/20.
They are also encouraging residents to take extra care to keep homes and belongings safe.
Please be proactive when it comes to home security. Remember to close and lock all doors and windows. Consider installing an alarm system or security lights. Invest in timers for lamps. To a burglar, a dark house is an empty house.
