Police have provided an update on the murder investigation following the death of a baby in Brompton Park, north Belfast, last night (Tuesday 27 July).
Detective Chief Inspector Millar from the Police Service of Northern Ireland’s Major Investigation Team said:
“Our investigation into last night’s tragic events is progressing and I am keen to thank the local community for their ongoing support.
“A post mortem is expected to take place tomorrow (Thursday 29 July).
“The 29-year-old woman remains under arrest at this time.
“While we are not looking for anyone else in relation to this, I would reiterate our ask for anyone with information to contact us on 101 quoting reference number 1787 of 27/07/21.”
