Police score hit in Ballymena as 66 yr old man arrested with drugs and £20,000 cash seized

Police officers in Ballymena made a significant hit on Tuesday night when they deployed a stinger device on a vehicle after the driver failed to stop.
Police commented: “Officers were on patrol in Ballymena last night when they came across a vehicle that failed to stop. A stinger device was used to stop the car and the 66 year old driver arrested.
“A significant amount of suspected Class A drugs were located and a follow up search of a property resulted in £20,000, Class B drugs and drug related materials seized.
“We are all too familiar with the devastation drugs misuse can cause in communities and we are focusing our efforts on removing illegal and dangerous drugs and targeting those involved in the sale and supply.
