Police operation to target drug supply and rural crime in Ballymena


Police officers from Ballymena District Support Team and the ANPR Interceptor Team were involved in a proactive operation within the Ballymena area on Friday evening, 3 February.


The operation was targeted at tackling drug supply and rural crime in the area, including burglaries.



A spokesperson for the Police Service of Northern Ireland commented:


"As a result of the operation, a number of vehicles were stopped and searched, a quantity of class C drug seized and Fixed Penalty Notices issued.


"If you see anything suspicious in your area in relation to any suspected crime please report it. Every report matters and could lead to the detection of crime / apprehension of offenders.
