Police make two more arrests as Ballymena disorder investigation progresses

Detectives investigating the recent outbreak of disorder in Ballymena have made two additional arrests, bringing the total number of individuals detained in connection with the incidents to 15.
Police confirmed that a 30-year-old man and a 50-year-old woman were arrested on suspicion of riot following disturbances that took place in the town on the evening of Wednesday, 11th June.
A spokesperson for the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) said:
“A 30-year-old man and a 50-year-old woman have been arrested on riot. They remain in police custody this evening as enquiries continue.”
This latest development follows a series of arrests made over recent days in connection with ongoing public disorder in the area. Authorities have now arrested 15 people, with four individuals already charged.
Police investigations remain active, with the ongoing response underscoring the seriousness with which it is treating incidents of public disorder. Further arrests are expected as the investigation continues to develop.
