Police confirm enquiries continuing as man released following Broughshane collision

Police have confirmed that a 52-year-old man arrested after a single-vehicle collision in Broughshane has been released from custody.
The incident occurred on Thursday, 25 September, in the Knowehead Dale area, when a car collided with the wall of a property, causing significant damage.
The man was arrested shortly afterwards on suspicion of driving-related offences, including driving under the influence of alcohol.
In an update issued today, a Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) spokesperson said:
“A 52-year-old man arrested following a report of a single-vehicle collision in the Knowehead Dale area of Broughshane on Thursday, 25th September has been released from custody to allow for further enquiries. The investigation continues.”
No serious injuries were reported in the collision. Police are continuing to appeal for information and have asked anyone who may have witnessed the crash, or captured it on dash-cam footage, to contact officers on 101, quoting reference number 173 25/09/25.
The investigation remains ongoing.
