Police confirm 13 year old boy tragically dies after entering water

Police can confirm that a 13-year-old boy has tragically died following an incident in the Canal Court area of Scarva on Monday afternoon (July 19th).

It was reported that at around 3.30pm, a boy had gone into the water in the area.

Officers attended the scene along with other emergency services colleagues, including the Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Services and Air Ambulance NI.

The boy was taken to hospital, where he tragically passed away. The death is not being treated as suspicious at this stage.
