Police BikeSafe event comes to Ballycastle and other towns

Police in Causeway Coast and Glens are encouraging motorcyclists to take part in the BikeSafe workshop taking place in Ballycastle next month.

Road Policing Constable Trevor Kirke explains:

“This is the first public workshop of 2022 and the first time the BikeSafe programme has come to Ballycastle. We are excited to engage with bikers in the area who want to enhance their skills and confident that spaces will be booked up quickly.

“BikeSafe is an initiative run by police services across the United Kingdom, with support from motorcycle industry partners, aimed at reducing the number of motorcycle related casualties. It offers motorcyclists the opportunity to take part in an assessment designed to enhance the skills of riders who have already passed their test.

“By passing on our knowledge and experience, we can advise you on how to become a safer, more competent rider and help you avoid some of the most common causes of collisions.”

The workshop is taking place on Saturday 19 March, at Sheskburn House Recreation Centre and bookings can be made at:
