Missing woman Nijole Vaiciene


Police in Mid Ulster are urgently appealing to the public for assistance in tracing the whereabouts of missing woman Nijole Vaiciene, who was last seen in the Union Place area of Dungannon at approximately 7pm on Friday, 16th May.


A spokesperson for the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) confirmed that enquiries are ongoing and that officers are becoming increasingly concerned for Nijole’s welfare.



“Nijole is believed to have last been seen in the Union Place area of Dungannon at around 7pm on Friday 16th May,” the spokesperson said.


At the time of her disappearance, Nijole was described as wearing a blue and white horizontal striped t-shirt, dark three-quarter length trousers, and black trainers. She was also carrying a black padded coat.



Police are urging anyone who may have seen Nijole or who has had any contact with her since Friday evening to come forward. “We are keen to hear from anyone who has seen or been in contact with Nijole,” the spokesperson added.


Members of the public with information are asked to contact the PSNI on 101, quoting the reference number 1324-17/05/25.
