Police appeal after alcohol stolen in early-morning Ballymena burglary

Police are appealing for witnesses after a quantity of alcohol was stolen during a burglary at commercial premises in Ballymena town centre.

The break-in happened at the Asda premises on Broughshane Street in the early hours of Thursday 10 September, with police receiving a report at around 4.30am.

Two suspects seen leaving scene

Two male suspects were seen making off on foot following the burglary. Police said both were wearing baseball caps and had their faces covered.

The pair were seen heading in the direction of Warden Street. Police have not provided any further description of the suspects or confirmed the quantity or value of alcohol taken.

Police seek CCTV and dash-cam footage

Enquiries into the burglary remain ongoing and officers are asking anyone who was in the area around the time of the incident to consider whether they may have information or footage that could assist the investigation.

Police said:

“We would appeal to anyone who saw anything or who might have any information – including CCTV, dash-cam or other footage – to contact police.”
