PD Hugo offers advice to the community across Mid & East Antrim as we near Christmas

Ho Ho Hugo is back again and here to give you all some more advice this festive season.

A spokesperson from the policing team in Mid and East Antrim said:

"Christmas is just around the corner and Hugo is exceptionally excited about what bic bic’s and dog treats he has waiting for him on Christmas Day.

"He decided to have a sneak about the station (nothing to do with him doing wee wee’s on the Inspector’s carpet) and he noticed some goodies under the tree with his name on them!

"Despite being a puppy, he decided to sit back and wait until Christmas Day before rifling through the wrapping paper and take what was under the tree, but this also brought a Hugo hint to his mind.

"He said that not everyone is a good boy like he is and that as much as your Christmas trees look amazing with the lights glistening off the reflective wrapping paper, criminals will see this as an opportunity to commit theft and burglary of your hard earned gifts, so PAWlease ensure they are out of sight and your windows and doors are locked."

The spokesperson added:

"He’s (PD Hugo) been out at Carrickfergus Castle for his walkies and meeting the public ahead of his big promotion!

"Nothing to do with testing the durability of the Sergeant’s leather boots against puppy teeth who is apparently barking mad (excuse the pun). Oh well… public opinion is that Hugo is staying regardless!"
