Three weeks after it sacked 800 employees across the United Kingdom and suspended all services, P&O has employed a new lower paid crew and announced it is set to resume services between Larne and Cairnryan.

In a short statement released on Saturday (9 April), a spokesperson for the company said:

“We are delighted that we will be able to restart full services between Larne and Cairnryan from 8am, Sunday 10 April.

“P&O is pleased to play its part in supporting customers to move vital goods between the Northern Ireland and Scotland."
