Police searching for missing person Debbie Crothers, recovered a body in the Carrickfergus area on Saturday, 18 December.
A spokesperson for the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) commented:
“A post mortem will be carried out to determine the cause of death, however the death is not being treated as suspicious at this time.
“The body has not been formally identified and there are no further details at this time.”
The volunteers of the Community Rescue Service were also involved in the search. A spokesperson for the organisation on Sunday evening said:
“Yesterday (Saturday) our volunteers resumed their searches that had been taking place every day and night in the Carrickfergus area since Saturday, 11 December.
“We regret to inform you that in early afternoon a CRS team discovered a body believed to be that of the missing person.
“Our volunteers would like to extend their thanks to the community and businesses for their support over the course of the week.
“The management and volunteers of the Community Rescue Service extend our deepest sympathy to the friends and family of the deceased at this saddest of times.”
