It is just over three weeks now until Northern Ireland goes to the polls on a Thursday 5 May to elect members to the next Stormont Assembly.

Over the last two years, MLA’s dealt with a number of difficulties including a global coronavirus pandemic, and the introduction of the NI Protocol in the wake of Brexit. This year’s election could see shifts from traditional voting patterns that will challenge the status quo.

The Northern Ireland Electoral Office has published the full list of all 239 candidates running for one of 90 available Assembly seats. Five MLA’s are set to be elected in each of the 18 constituencies across the province.

Polls open at 7am on Thursday 5 May 2022, and will remain open until 10pm
