New window stickers are being distributed to businesses and premises across Mid and East Antrim to send a signal that safety measures have been taken in response to Covid-19.

The customer confidence stickers have been issued as the economic recovery from the pandemic continues in Ballymena, Larne, Carrickfergus and surrounding villages.

Mayor of Mid and East Antrim, Councillor Peter Johnston, said: “As our borough moves through the first stages of recovery, one of our main priorities is ensuring that our businesses are prepared and protected in order to welcome the public back safely.

“The customer confidence stickers shows the public that businesses are taking the necessary steps to help customers feel at ease, feel safe, and above all have an enjoyable experience when shopping and going about their daily business.

“I am confident that, by continuing to work closely with our business community, Council will continue to deliver on its commitment to the next phase of post-Covid-19 recovery.”

Mid and East Antrim Borough Council has set up a Town Centre Recovery Group which is leading the way in ensuring a safe and sustainable return to normality for shops and businesses throughout Mid and East Antrim.

Headed up by Council with representation from key local business leaders, the group has been focused on helping retailers in our three main shopping towns reopen their doors safely, so that shoppers can have peace of mind that all appropriate measures are in place.
