Danske Bank has officially opened its new Ballymoney branch at 12 High Street, completing its planned relocation to modernised premises in the heart of the town.
The opening was marked by a special event attended by local businesswoman and Ballymoney Chamber of Commerce President Winnie Mellet, who cut the ribbon to welcome customers into the upgraded branch.
Lisa McKenna, Head of Branches at Danske Bank, said the investment demonstrates the bank’s continued commitment to delivering accessible, customer-focused banking services.
“We are delighted to welcome customers to our new branch in Ballymoney. This significant investment underscores our ongoing commitment to our customers and the local community. We’re also bringing back lunchtime opening, giving customers greater flexibility and convenience.
“Our dedicated local team, led by branch manager Liz Graham, is ready to assist both personal and business customers with their banking needs.”
The new branch features two external cash machines and a range of self-service facilities inside, enabling customers to deposit notes and coins, withdraw cash, and access euros.
The modern layout is designed to enhance customer experience while maintaining face-to-face support for those who prefer in-branch banking.
The branch is now open Monday to Friday, from 9.30am to 3pm.
Danske Bank confirmed that the former branch building will be advertised for sale, while relocation plans are also progressing for its Coleraine and Lisburn branches, both expected to move to nearby units in early 2026.
