Plans have been submitted for a new apartment complex on the site of a previous house and garage, now demolished, in Ballymena town centre.
Submitted by Vibrant White Construction Ltd, the proposal is seeking permission for six apartments for the location at 113 Broughshane Street in the town. The proposal includes three one bedroom apartments and three two bedroom apartments.
In recent years the residential area that blends into Ballymena town centre has seen a number of homes demolished in recent years to make way for the construction of apartment blocks, including on Suffolk Street, Warden Street, Broadway Avenue, and Broughshane Street itself.
The application comes as the latest residential new-build proposal, with a submission recently for apartments on High Street, alongside plans currently under appeal for the Old Bank Building on Mill Street.
The latest planning application will be considered by Mid and East Antrim's Planning Committee in the months ahead.
