Police charge man (43) in connection with injured man found in field in Ballymena

Detectives have charged a 43-year-old male with attempted murder, kidnap and arson following the discovery of a severely injured man in a field on the Lisnamurrican Road outside Broughshane on 11th October.

He is due to appear before Ballymena Magistrates’ Court via videolink tomorrow (Thursday, 16th December).

As is usual procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service (PPS).

Four other men - aged 36, 38, 39 and 51 - were previously charged with attempted murder, arson and kidnap in connection with this incident.
