Nando’s launches summer sauce vote and new menu additions across UK & Ireland

Nando’s is giving power to the people this summer, letting fans decide which much-loved guest spice should make a triumphant return to menus across the UK and Ireland. Launching nationwide on 13 May, the high street favourite is also unveiling an array of new menu items to spice up the summer season.
In a first for the popular chicken chain, diners will be able to vote for their favourite returning PERi-PERi flavour—from classics like Smoky Churrasco and Garlic BBQ to more adventurous twists like the recent Nando’s x Fanta collaboration.
Fans can cast their vote via a QR code on the in-restaurant menu or online at nandos.co.uk from 13 May to 17 June.
“Everyone’s got their go-to spice at Nando’s. And real ones spam Nando’s socials asking for their much-loved guest spice to come back,” said a spokesperson for Nando’s.
Whether you’re loyal to Mango & Lime or a VUSA veteran, the brand is inviting fans to not only vote for a returning favourite but also pitch brand new flavour ideas. The winning guest spice will be announced later this summer and added to Nando’s iconic PERi-ometer.
New Menu Items to Satisfy Summer Cravings

The summer vote is accompanied by a fresh line-up of bold and flavourful menu additions. Among the highlights is The Big Cheese, a new burger featuring grilled halloumi, red pepper and pineapple salsa, avocado, and Churrasco PERinaise, all served in a soft rustic Portuguese roll made with Wildfarmed regenerative flour.

Cheese lovers can also rejoice at the arrival of Halloumi Sticks with PERi-Honey, a sweet and savoury dip described as “the sweetwave you’ve been waiting for”. It’s also available as an extra for those looking to drizzle, pour, or dip it on everything from salads to chips.
For those craving a seasonal twist on sides, Nando’s is introducing Summer Grains—a zesty mix of grains, green chickpeas and dried apricots finished with a lemony yoghurt dressing—and Charred Corn, smoky sweetcorn in a creamy, garlicky sauce topped with PERi-Salt and fresh spring onions.

To complete the summer meal, guests can cool off with the new Tropical Quencher, designed to offer “the ultimate summer slurp”.

“Nando’s is the OG when it comes to sauce,” the brand noted. “It’s bottomless in every restaurant. Grab it by the bottle or pour it from sauce taps to dunk, drizzle or dip all of your favourites.”
The fan-led sauce vote follows hot on the heels of Nando’s recent launch of Extra Saucy Wings, which introduced the previously off-menu PERi-Flamer sauce as a permanent addition.

With new flavours, returning favourites, and an open invitation for customers to have their say, Nando’s is embracing a community-first approach to summer dining. The new offerings and sauce vote will be available in all Nando’s UK and Ireland locations from 13 May.
