Mayor of Mid and East Antrim, Councillor William McCaughey has paid a visit to one of the Borough’s newest businesses – The Craftea Room in Larne.

The Craftea Room opened in March bringing customers a great new experience when out for something to eat.

This Victorian tearoom is particularly special as it provides the perfect setting for afternoon tea, using the finest Victorian tea sets, passed down through the generations.

The Craftea Room is open daily to the public, catering for people of all abilities.

The Mayor said:

“I was pleased to visit the Craftea Room and to meet with the proprietor Antoinette. I wish her every success in her new business venture.

“It’s brilliant to see new businesses opening in Mid and East Antrim after the horrendous challenges many faced over the past two years.

“I encourage residents to get behind all our businesses and shop local. Our officers are on-hand to assist and support anybody wishing to open a new business, or who has plans to extend. Details are available on our website on what support we can provide as a Council.”

The Craftea Room has also signed up to the ShopMEA App. Here you can find out more about why you should visit.
