Victim 74-year-old Tony Miskimmon
A 21-year-old man, is due to appear before Antrim Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday 26 November, charged with manslaughter.
The charges follow a serious assault on 74-year-old Tony Miskimmon which occurred in the Station Road area of Antrim on 2 November, in which the elderly local resident was left in critical condition.
The defendant Marcus Fleming from Cedarmount, Antrim was subsequently arrested by police in connection with the incident, and appeared in court on Monday 4th November charged with wounding and criminal damage, and appeared.
An application for bail was made but was denied, and Marcus Fleming was remanded into custody until his next court appearance.
Sadly Mr Miskimmon died just days later on November 7th from the injuries he sustained.
The charges have since been reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
