A 32-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder following an in incident in Ballymena over the weekend when another male was stabbed a number of times.
Yesterday a spokesperson for the Police Service of Northern Ireland commented:
“Police received a report of an incident at a house at Cushendall Road, Ballymena, at around 10.30am on Sunday 27 February.
“Officers attended to find a male receiving treatment from ambulance staff to a number of stab wounds, which at this time are not believed to be life threatening.”
Police officers were supported by colleagues in the Armed Support Unit, while Northern Ireland Ambulance Service and Air Ambulance NI were also tasked to the incident.
The perpetrator is due to appear at Coleraine Magistrates Court today, Monday 28 February. As is normal procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
