Man badly injured after fall in Ballymena home



Emergency Services rushed to the scene of an incident on Wednesday afternoon (13 April) after a man suffered a fall in a home in Ballymena.

Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service (NIFRS) assisted colleagues from the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service (NIAS), and Air Ambulance NI who were tasked shortly after 3.20pm.


Local reports suggest the casualty had fallen from the roof space in the property.


A spokesperson from NIFRS commented:


“Firefighters were called to assist Northern Ireland Ambulance Service (NIAS) colleagues at an incident where a man had fallen.

“Firefighters assisted NIAS colleagues with manual handling to remove the casualty from the property.



“The casualty was taken to hospital by NIAS and the incident was dealt with by 4.38pm.”


The injured man’s condition is unknown.
