Murder victim 63-year-old Victor Hamilton
A 29-year-old man with an address of Springfield Crescent, Belfast, has appeared in court on Monday morning, 1 August, charged with the murder of Victor Hamilton in Ballymena last week.
Mr Hamilton’s (63) body was discovered in the garden of his home in the Orkney Drive area of Ballykeel, on the morning of Wednesday 27 July.
Mamadu Saido Djalo, appeared in Coleraine Magistrates Court via videolink, sitting in Ballymena.
A detective sergeant told the court he could connect the accused with the case.
Djalo was remanded in custody to reappear next Monday, August 8, for a bail application.
A 23-year-old woman has been released on bail pending further enquiries while a man aged 33 arrested on Sunday, 31 July remains in custody at this time.
Detective Inspector Gina Quinn commented the charges on Sunday night (31 July) saying:
"We would like to thank the public for their assistance to date and continue to appeal to anyone with any information that could assist us with our investigation to contact us on 101 quoting reference 273 27/07/22.
