Marks & Spencer has reaffirmed its long-standing support for Northern Ireland’s farming community, announcing its return as Platinum Sponsor of the Balmoral Show — a move that reinforces the retailer’s deep ties with local producers and the agri-food sector.
With more than 25 years of backing behind it, the partnership signals continued investment in an event widely regarded as the heartbeat of rural life in Northern Ireland, bringing together farmers, food producers and thousands of visitors each year.
Showcasing the Best of Local Produce
As part of its presence at the 2026 show, M&S will once again sponsor the popular beef livestock classes, a cornerstone of the event that celebrates excellence in local farming.
Visitors can also expect the return of the brand’s well-attended kitchen demonstrations, offering a closer look at the quality and innovation behind its food range. Meanwhile, the on-site M&S Food on the Move shop will provide a convenient way for attendees to enjoy fresh food throughout the four-day event.
Recognising Farming Excellence
Central to M&S’s involvement is its continued support for the M&S Select Farm Awards, which highlight the dedication, innovation and high standards of the farmers supplying the retailer.
Ryan Lemon, Northern Ireland Regional Manager for M&S, said:
“The Balmoral Show is such an important event in Northern Ireland’s agri-food calendar and we’re proud to continue our long-standing partnership as Platinum Sponsor, having supported the Show for over 25 years.”
He added:
“At M&S we are incredibly proud of the strong relationships we have with local farmers and suppliers, and the Balmoral Show provides a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the exceptional quality, innovation and sustainability that exists across the industry. We’re looking forward to engaging with customers, producers and visitors throughout the show and showcasing the very best of M&S food.”
A Key Event for Northern Ireland
The Balmoral Show remains Northern Ireland’s largest agricultural event, drawing together rural communities, businesses and families in a major annual celebration of food, farming and countryside life.
M&S’s continued sponsorship not only underlines the importance of the show but also highlights the strength of its partnerships with local suppliers — relationships that continue to shape the region’s thriving agri-food sector.
