Locally organised ‘Big Night In’ event raises over £24,000 for NI Children’s Hospice
Ballymena Northern Ireland Hospice Support Group have announced that the ‘Big Night In 2020’ event has raised an amazing £24,063.76 to date, for the very worthy cause of the Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice.
The event which was organised by members of the local group with support from the local community, was broadcast online and featured a number of popular artists and performers.
Acting Chair of Ballymena NI Hospice Support Group, Mrs Toni Bailes, said:
”The Ballymena NI Hospice Support Group would like to take this opportunity to thank our ‘Big Night In’ show hosts Jackie Fullerton and Claire McCollum.
“Both gifted their professional time to present this wonderful evening seamlessly linking the acts and family stories with ease.
“Thanks to Alan Kirk, ARK Media, for a magnificent production.
“A heartfelt thank you to the fabulously entertaining line-up of singers, dancers, pipers and comedians who so readily agreed to take part in support of the bravest of children and their families free of charge.
“Every show needs publicity and we are indebted to our friends at the Ballymena Guardian Newspaper, who champion everything we do.
“To every business sponsor who helped to cover production costs and raise much needed funds we could not have put this event on without your support.
“To the amazing generosity of the audience on the night and the public donations in the days that followed….thank you.
“Finally to our own Support Group Members Marie Reynolds and Mary Selwood, together with their husbands Stephen and Chris, who ably led this event, thank you.”
