Lisnamurrican YFC raises almost £3,000 for charity Air Ambulance NI

In a brilliant effort, members of Lisnamurrican Young Farmers Club (YFC) raised almost £3,000 through their recent Truck and Tractor Run, in aid of Air Ambulance Northern Ireland.

The young people were delighted to be able to present a cheque on Tuesday (15 March) for £2,865.66 to the worthy charity that helps save lives across all six counties.

Lisnamurrican YFC’s Annual Truck and Tractor run was held on the 22 January 2022 at Ballymena Livestock Market. Approximately 159 vehicles (trucks and tractors) took part in the run, in what was another successful event, enjoyed by young and old alike who watched along the route.

A spokesperson for Lisnamurrican YFC said:

“Members of Lisnamurrican Young Farmers Club committee are very thankful for everyone who donated to raise this incredible amount.

“The club committee decided to donate to Air Ambulance NI this year because it is a charity doing life saving work in our own community as well as in the farming community in Northern Ireland as a whole.

“The club are hopeful they can continue with charity events to keep raising funds for charities that mean a lot to them.”
