Translink has announced plans to enhance and upgrade the passenger lifts and escalators at Belfast’s Lanyon Place station, as part of the company’s commitment to making public transport accessible to everyone.
A spokesperson for Translink said:
“Essential engineering works will be carried out from 1st to 27th August 2022 and lifts will not be available during this time.
“We are working with IMTAC to minimise the overall impact of these works and we ask for patience and support while we improve the facilities.
“During the works, access to platforms will be via stairs and escalators. Passengers requiring lift access should travel to the nearest station with lift facilities - York Road, Botanic or Great Victoria Street, to continue their journey.
“We will have additional staff available to support customers at Lanyon Place Station and anyone needing assistance with alternative travel arrangements should get in touch with our Contact Centre on 028 90 666630.
“We apologise to customers for any inconvenience during the works.”
