ITV has confirmed its comprehensive coverage plans and presenter line-up for the UEFA Women’s Euros 2025, promising fans across the UK unrivalled access to one of the year’s most highly anticipated sporting events.
Led by celebrated presenters Laura Woods and Seema Jaswal, ITV’s tournament coverage will bring every moment of the action to viewers at home. The broadcaster will deliver all matches live across ITV1, ITVX, STV and ITV4, including highlights available on demand through ITVX.
Providing expert analysis and commentary throughout the competition will be a powerhouse team of former players and seasoned pundits. Karen Carney, Emma Hayes, Vicky Losada, Laura Georges, Jayne Ludlow, Eni Aluko and Caroline Weir form the main studio team, with reporters Katie Shanahan (England), Beth Fisher (Wales), and Semra Hunter (Europe) on the ground throughout the tournament.
Commentators Seb Hutchinson, Sam Matterface and Pien Meulensteen will be joined by co-commentators Lucy Ward, Siobhan Chamberlain, Emma Byrne, and Nia Jones.
Coverage begins on Wednesday 2nd July with the opening fixture between Finland and Iceland. ITV will broadcast every match, including simultaneous group-stage games which will air on ITV4.
Key fixtures for home nations
ITV will showcase England’s opening match against France on Saturday 5th July, and their final group game against Wales on Sunday 13th July, a high-stakes showdown between two home nations.
ITV will also air Wales v France on Wednesday 9th July, and has secured broadcast rights for one Quarter-Final and first pick of a Semi-Final. The tournament final will be broadcast live on Sunday 27th July at 5pm.
Niall Sloane, ITV Director of Sport, said:
“We are proud at ITV to broadcast the UEFA Women’s Euros 2025 in what we expect to be a brilliant tournament showcasing the very top footballers in Europe. The women’s game continues to grow from strength to strength, and ITV will be front and centre to provide expert coverage, analysis and thought-provoking punditry with our elite broadcasting team.”
Pundits’ tournament predictions
Presenter Laura Woods is backing Spain to win the tournament:
“Spain gets into tournament football and they can be a real juggernaut… They have two Ballon D’Or winners and the WSL Player of the Season.”
She expressed excitement about England’s chances despite the absence of key players such as Mary Earps, Fran Kirby and Millie Bright:
“Without Millie Bright you lose such a huge leader… but you have Leah Williamson in there, Alessia Russo and Lauren Hemp who is coming back into form.”
Seema Jaswal said:
“Watching these phenomenal women own the pitch, inspire the next generation and show the world what they’re made of — that’s everything. It’s history in the making and I’m proud to be a part of it.”
She highlighted Spain’s attacking power but tipped England as contenders:
“They’ve learnt to win in different ways… Sarina Wiegman will have her players prepared and ready.”
Manager-turned-pundit Emma Hayes said she’s “looking forward to the whole package” of the tournament and predicted a Spain v England final, with standout players including Claudia Pina, Aitana Bonmatí and Lauren James.
Former Lioness Karen Carney is keeping an eye on Germany, while also expecting some surprises:
“I actually think we’ll have a stand-out star that isn’t on anyone’s radar… that excites me.”
Welsh legend Jayne Ludlow described Wales’ qualification as historic, saying:
“Just to compete against the biggest nations in front of big crowds – for us as Welsh fans, it is all about supporting them.”
Rising stars to watch
There was unanimous praise across the punditry team for Aitana Bonmatí, widely expected to shine for Spain. Other names tipped for stardom include Lauren James, Alessia Russo, and exciting 19-year-old England striker Michelle Agyemang.
Commentator Seb Hutchinson added:
“It’s laid out for Spain… but I have a sneaky suspicion Germany might pull it off.”
