Police in Ballymena responded on Sunday night (23 January) after being alerted by a member of the public who was concerned about another vehicle being driving erratically.

A spokesperson for the Police Service Of Northern Ireland said:

“Thanks to an eagle-eyed member of the public, Ballymena police were able to take an unfit driver off the roads, this driver was also in possession of Class C drugs and an incapacitant spray.

“Your calls are more important than you realise, never think that someone else has probably already made that call. If in doubt give us a shout.”

The police spokesperson concluded: “This call has definitely made our roads safer tonight. We really appreciate your help.”
